"Oh! And Ravenclaw scores again! That now puts them at 140 and Gryffindor at 300. It's a wonder how Gryffindor managed to pull that off. Especially with Weasley on their team. Last match must have given him a boost of confidence into thinking he can play well" Zacharias Smith says through the megaphone.
Honestly. The nerve he had to get up there again after I rammed into the commentators podium last match. I would do it again right now if I didn't have to find the snitch. Thank god I still remember how to play seeker.
Cheers erupted from the Ravenclaw side as their Chaser, was about to score a goal. Ron chose this moment to make one of his best saves this match yet-he extended one leg out and kicked the Quaffle right before it made it through the goal.
"That'll shut Smith up" I mutter under my breath as I circle above the field trying to locate the snitch. Out of the corner of my eye I vaguely notice something gold and glittering. I snap my head up, and sure enough the snitch is hovering a few feet away. I reach my hand out trying to make a grab at it as it flies downward.
"And I'm pretty sure that Ginny has seen the snitch! Yes, yes she has definitely spotted something-"
I'm already diving toward the ground when Cho comes up along-side me. "Oh no you don't" I murmured before grabbing the snitch between my fingers.
"And the match is over! Gryffindor winning 450, to 140-"
I grin coming to a halt at the ground. The rest of the team is already down, jumping up and down in victory.
Luna's famous lion hat echoes across the field along with hoots and hollers from the Gryffindor side. Slytherin's team was already making their way to the changing rooms, as the rest of Slytherin House was sulking walking back up to the castle.
"We won, we won, we won!" Ron shouted, jumping up and down. I laughed and joined the rest of the team to the locker rooms. Once I was showered, I put a clothes on and made my way to to the castle with everyone else.
