Author's Note: This may be my other take on my The Chosen Ones story. I like Elle better than Zoe though. So I might continue this instead... Depends. Would you rather let me continue this or TCO? Review your answer, I guess?

Here it goooess:

You know what's stupid?

Everything.

Gods, how could everything be so stupid, really?

Agggggghhhrrrrrrrggghhh.

Anyway, I should be introducing myself now.

I'm Elle. Gabrielle, actually. Most call me Elle. Some call me Gab. Gabby. Brielle.

Whatever.

So, you're reading this. How unfortunate. I'm really sorry to inform you, but your life just got a whole lot harder.

Well, will get a whole lot harder.

Currently, as I am writing this, I am 19.

I'm old, yes. Though, this story or ,whatever, started when I was merely 11.

Long story short?

I'm an orphan. Been living in the streets since I could remember. I don't know how I survived my first years of life, but I did. About the age of three, I was talking. And boy did I talk a lot. Anyway, by ten years old an old woman adopted me. Not legally, though. She just told me that if I wanted a home, she could spare a room in her house. I mean, seriously, what orphan would not take that offer?

I was crying. I was hungry. I was by the street and she saw me. That old woman, was Ms. Pine. My adoptive mother.

And this is where you come into the story.

Well, kind of.

I got enrolled in various schools. But no one wanted accepted me because I was too old and couldn't read and blah blah. Pfft. As if I wanted to even go to a school. Instead, mom hired tutors.

And that didn't turn out well.

You see, I'm..hmm.. strange? Like you are. In..a kind of good way, I guess.

You're a demigod, aren't you?

And that's what I am, too. No, I don't have any idea who my parent is. Nor do I really care.

I just want to eat.

My tutors gave up on me. I had a bad case of dyslexia.

Like, really really bad.

Soon, I just kind of managed to teach myself. Learned the some words and whatnot. Mom would help me out too. Through the help of the magical world internet, of course.

No. Wait. Scratch what I said earlier.

This is where you come in.

The internet was my personal gateway to the outside world. I rarely got out of the house. Mom didn't mind. She knew how people were and wasn't too keen on the idea of me having muggle friends. Oh yeah. Did I mention my mom was a witch? No? Well then. Now you know.

She didn't know that I was a demigod though. It was the internet who told me who I really was.

Turns out, there's this secret organization of demigods. They found me. That sounds creepy, but yeah, well it actually is. Did you know that through the internet demigods can be smelled? That's bizarre. But I guess, that's how they found me.

I randomly clicked on a site. Then into another and into another and found myself virtually playing in a virtual online world.

Point is..

Gah.

Let's just start from the day I rode to the friggin train.

Yay! So..review? :)

XO,

CC
