Walking home after class, breathing in the land and not the stale recycled air of Manta's sub, Artemis felt her shoulders relax. Wally still had one more class that day so she had some time to herself. As much as she loved him, they had been together nonstop since she returned, and she enjoyed having a little alone time.
Sitting on a bench at the edge of campus, she let the early evening wash around her. A thought so gentle it was more a feeling trickled into her quiet mind.
"I'm pregnant," she whispered to the breeze and eyes going wide, one hand coming to rest on her abdomen.

A few days later, she met with Zatanna and shared her belief. The other woman smiled at her flustered, but excited, friend and asked, "Do you want me to check?"
Artemis pulled in a deep breath, before nodding, gentle smile gracing her face. "Sure, why not? Just a stupid hunch anyway." She tried to make light of the situation and remain neutral. But if she was honest with herself, after initially being scared of such a prospect, she found herself loving the idea of having a family with Wally. Of raising children in an opposite environment to the hell she went through as a kid.
Leaning down to hover a hand over Artemis' midsection, Zatanna spoke in a clear voice, "Flesyth laever ybab." A glow appeared, neutral yellow that faded to a light green. Searching Zatanna's face for what this meant, Artemis watched a smile grow. Nodding, Zatanna confirmed the hunch as she pulled Artemis into a tight hug.

Artemis was filled only with excitement as she waited for Wally to meet her on the same bench at the edge of campus. She tried to picture his reaction to what she was to tell him. He would be the best dad.
A blur rushed towards her, stopping to wrap his arms around her shoulders. Chuckling she scolded, "You know you shouldn't use speedforce here."
"I couldn't wait to see you though, babe," he smiled, pressing his face into her hair and sighing contently. "So, what is it you have to tell me?"
