A deep breath, and a long sigh.
Aranya wanted nothing more in that moment than to grant his wish.
She wanted so much to just not move from where she was, with almost every inch of the length of her body pressed up along his, her head resting on his shoulder. She wanted to go on luxuriating in the warmth of being held close to him in his arms, the delicious sensation of his hands wandering on her skin, his fingers through her hair. Just to keep lying there listening to the sound of his heart, his breath.
Or maybe to make their morning like their night had been - hips rolling, teeth clashing in hungry kisses, watching how his fists clenched in the sheets and his toes curled whenever she flexed around him, gripping and squeezing him, snug and slick at her center.
"I can't," she replied. The arcanist turned her head to look him in the eyes. "The alignment will pass over the rim of Azshara in two days. I have to get there in time to channel it or I may lose my chance for good." The tone of her clear voice was earnest. "It won't return again for another two-hundred-and-fifty years, I have literally waited my whole life for this."
She could feel his chest sink as he sighed in resignation. Aranya nestled her head back down into the crook of his shoulder, while his fingertips played over the skin of her back. Both of them were silent awhile.
"I can stay for another hour."
