The Rising of the Sun

O.o.O.o.O.o.O

Summary: A short poem detailing Inuyasha's fight to save Kagome from everlasting darkness. Set during the final three chapters of the manga. Not much of the story is revealed here, but just in case, I should warn you that this may contain spoilers.

O.o.O.o.O.o.O

Deep within a pool of darkness and despair,

She waits for you,

Living for a dream and a prayer,

A plea that soon you will come,

To light up her midnight,

With eyes bright as the sun.

---

Alone she will wait,

Tears suspended in ice

Alone in the dark haunted by fate

Believing now that all hope is gone

Your caress will save her

Giving her darkest hour the light of the dawn

---

You battle with all of your might

There isn't much time left

She is losing to her fear of the night

Her shining light is beginning to wane

You swore to protect her

To keep her from this pain

---

Her eyes fix upon silver locks flowing on windless plains

She gazes at you with eyes brimming with tears

You are there to break the bonds of her eternal chains

With your embrace you have quelled all her fears

She knows know that you will always come

Her lips graze softly against yours

For you are her light, her moon, stars and her sun.

Authors Note:

Thank you for reading, this is the second poem I have written on this site, and as you have seen, I am still very much an amateur. I mainly decided that I would post this, as it is relevant to the one shot I am about to submit to the site. Anyway, enough of that for now. Feedback is always greatly appreciated whether it is positive or negative, so long as it is constructive. Alas, we come to the age-old… review please xx
