Missing scene - written for a challenge of inception_land over at LJ. :)
A/A all the way...
I don't own anything - Chris Nolan is the master!
They remained still for a moment. Ariadne watched the raindrops hitting the surface of the river and Arthur watched her, trying to convince himself that she'd be fine. It wasn't supposed to be like this. She shouldn't have experienced Limbo. Not now, not ever. And he wasn't quite sure if he should blame himself for it. Part of him wanted to, but the bigger part of him blamed Cobb - and he actually felt bad for it.
Suddenly he noticed her shivering. "We need to get you out of the rain and into some dry clothes," he mentioned before he finally got up and offered his hand to help her up.
"What about Eames and the others?"
Arthur scrutinized. "Eames? He can take care of himself."
"And you think I can't?"
Ariadne grinned. Did he just blush?
"I know you're capable of lots of things, Ariadne," he said and smiled. "I've never met anyone like you before."
Ariadne smiled shyly and looked down. "Thanks," she whispered almost unhearable.
They remained a moment like this and then Ariadne realized Arthur was still holding her hand.
"Where are we going?"
"My…" he started and looked in the distance. "Well, since we're in a dream version of LA, you could say my apartment. But…"
"I get it." Ariadne nodded.
"And we have to try and hide from the projections. One week can get awfully long."

"Here," he offered her one of his pullover. "I'll wait outside."
She peeled her wet clothes off and pulled his pullover over her head, immediately inhaling his scent. If this were reality, he would surely never get it back, even though it was way too large for her petite form.
"Ready," she called and he stepped back into the room.
"Already better," she grinned at him.
"Yeah, I can see that. Ariadne, you're still shaking like a leaf," he said. "Come here," he pulled her close and tried to rub warmth in her arms.
„Sorry," he suddenly said.
Ariadne looked up at him. "About what?" she asked confused.
"The kiss. I took advantage of the situation."
"Oh, like right now you mean?" Ariadne grinned.
Arthur chuckled. "No, right now I just try to prevent you from getting a cold or worse." He smiled at her and his eyes sparkled. "I know my behavior was unacceptable. I promise it'll never happen again."
She hesitated for a moment and looked him in the eyes. "What would you say if I want it to happen again?" she asked.
He smirked. "I'd say it's worth a shot."
Liked it? I know it's pretty short, but comments are love anyway! :)
