It is hard for a child to lose a parent, but I believe it would also be hard to be a parent watching your child deal with life's struggles and not be able to help them...especially if that child was Harry Potter

Looking at you, looking at me

The look in your eyes

Is something I wish I couldn't see

We never were able to say our goodbyes

So here you are with borrowed memories, shattered hope

Broken dreams, and busted lies

I wish there was someway I could help you cope

But a pillar against the wind you stand alone

Strong in appearance, cracked foundation

Emotional fatigue felt in every bone

On your back is the future of a nation

To heavy a burden to bear

My heart breaks, my soul reaches to you

But this veil, I just cannot tear

I hold myself, at lost for what to do

My one last wish is to hold

My baby once more

And although my heart still pleads, my head has been told

Maybe someday time will open a door

And together we'll be

Father and son, for eternity.
