A/N: Here's yet another story that I've just had floating around my head. Keep me posted on what you think. And as always, review! It's the only way I can get better. Thanks!

It has been three years since they have all graduated from Hogwarts, and life was treating them all well. Harry and Ginny have successful careers, Harry as an Auror and Ginny as a chaser for the Holyhead Harpies. They were planning their wedding for July of next year and were looking forward to life as a married couple. R

on had also become an Auror and had found love in an unlikely place. Pansy Parkinson hadn't chosen a side in the Second Wizarding War, and had changed from her conniving Slytherin ways. She had found a steady job in a bakery in Diagon Alley and was well on her way to becoming manager.

Hermione had found her calling in the Department of Mysteries, and, although she had a great life, she hadn't quite found the love of her life. She and Ron had tried to date for a while, but the soon lost the spark and realized they were better off as friends. Hermione had just started dating on of Ginny's team mates, Jeremy Flinn, and so far everything had gone seamlessly in their relationship.

Everyone had graciously accepted Hermione's new boyfriend. Well, most everyone had. Hermione's partner was strongly opposed to any man that was in her life besides himself, Harry, and the Weasleys. Back in their school days, her partner had treated her terribly, but now he made up for it by being fiercely protective of her.

It was a normal Monday morning in the Department of Mysteries. Everyone was sitting at their desks filling out the mountains of paperwork that had accumulated over the weekend due to the finishing of old assignments and the doling out of new ones. The senior officers received first choice cases leaving everyone else with whatever was left over. Hermione had progressed through the ranks quickly and she was able to get a fairly decent assignment, even if it wasn't the best one. Someone had developed a potion that, as far as the Ministry could tell, was wreaking havoc on a large portion of the wizarding population in a remote part of Egypt.

The goal of the assignment was to figure out who was creating and distributing this dangerous potion, collect a sample to be further researched, and bring the situation back under control. Hermione and her partner were to leave as soon as possible so as to minimize the damage caused by the potion.

Being an Unspeakable lead to an interesting lifestyle for most, and Draco Malfoy was no exception. He had problems holding on to a girlfriend for any length of time, and still sometimes had trouble keeping the peace with his know-it-all partner. But years working together had softened Draco to some of Granger's quirks. It was still unnerving, though, to find Granger grinning into her mug of coffee at 6:30 in the morning. He would ask why she was so happy, but that would probably lead to a story about her wonderful weekend with her insufferable prat of a boyfriend, and he really wasn't up for something so sickening this early in the morning.
