Peter Pan & Cheyanne
It was a cold night on December 31st. While Cheyanne sat alone in her bed with its grey covers. It was Christmas, yet she cried. Why you ask? Cheyanne was found on her birthday on the corner of Main Street by The Baker's Dozen, a bread shop. The owner just closed up when he saw a bright colored blanket in a dank alley. He walked up to the basket and saw a young Cheyanne shivering in fright and cold. Gracious as he was, the owner took her home to his wife and daughter. The owner was poor but some way he and his wife took Cheyanne to the best orphanage they could afford. Then on every Christmas Day, Cheyanne would cry her eyes out, for she knew for the last 11 years (now 12) she had been alone and would be alone for the rest of her life for Christmas and her birthday.
Although Cheyanne thought she was alone, she was not. For far away Peter Pan could her her cries and sobs. Each time he heard her cry Peter would come as fast as possible to hear her sweet voice, even if it was when she was weeping.
But on this particular day Peter decided to try to talk to her, something horrible and unexpected happened.
Cheyanne was looking out the window when she decided it was time for bed, so she put on her nightgown and turned out the lights.
Then the windows flew open.
Cheyanne screamed and flung the covers off of her, and ran to the ajar window.
