Most of the time being a Reaper wasn't a bad gig. Sure, like any job, it had its ups and downs, but, as Bill often told the souls he was reaping, it knocked spots off being actually dead.
Death wasn't a bad boss - a bit grim, naturally, but that was part of the job description. One thing Bill just couldn't fathom was the Boss' weakness for Winchesters.
So when the call came through and he arrived to find it was Sam Winchester, Bill just turned right around. Went home to knock back a cold one with Tessa.
She understood.
