It started out as a normal day, or at least as normal it can get in a class with four dyslectic kids with ADHD. Anyway my name is Angie Hamton and I'm in grade six. I have a couple friends but otherwise I'm on my own. So one day in May we were on the bus ride home and the bus driver turned into a giant dragon with like eight heads. "Di immortals!," Brian cried. By the way Brian is this weird kid that walks on a limp and laughs like a goat. "We have to get to camp!" "What camp?" Asked my best friend Anne. "I love camp" exclaimed Nick. He's this kid I've known since Kindergarten. "Are we going to make friendship bracelets?" He asked. "Not quite" Brian replied. And that's all I remember before collapsing onto the ground. I woke up to someone feeding me some type of pudding. It tasted like home baked muffins straight from the oven. When I finally got the strength to open my eyes there was a girl about my age standing next to me. "Hello" she said "I'm Dawn Daughter of Demeter." "Demeter?" I asked. "Yes" she replied "The Greek Gods are real"
Okay I took this as a huge surprise, and I thought she was playing a joke on me but it turns out this whole camp is for heros in training or demi-gods as Dawn called them. " Demi-Gods?"I asked. "Yes" She replied. "Half Human half-Gods." "Oh my gods Angie" Said Anne running up with a loss of breath. " They have sword fighting, and different cabins for each Greek god!" "Oh hi Anne. This is Dawn she's a daughter of Demeter." " Cool" she replied before running off. " So what's up with the different cabins?" I asked. " There's a Cabin for each Greek god and goddess," She started. "Whatever God your parent is, well that's what cabin you stay in." " So whose my parent?" I asked " You're undetermined" "Meaning?" No one knows who you parent is." "Then where do I stay?" "In the Hermes cabin. That's where all the undetermined kids go" "Okay" I said while we made our way to the cabins.
When we got there we were greeted by someone named Dylan. " Hey" he said. I swore I saw Dawn blush. "This is Dylan," She started " he'll be your counselor for now." " Cool but~" I was interrupted when Nick burst into the room. "Guess what!" He exclaimed out of breath. "What" I asked "It was so cool! There was like this sun thing floating above my head, and I was all like "What the Hades?" and now I'm a son of Apollo! And look what my dad gave me." He said as he held up a triangle. " A triangle?" I asked sarcastically. "No it's the Triangle of Doom! Look you tap it here and" He exclaimed as the triangle turned into a bow and arrows. Then we heard a bell in the distance. " Time for dinner" Dawn said excitedly. As she walked off to meet her cabin.
