Hermione sighed in contentment as she looked at Ron. "That was absolutely wonderful. I never knew you were so talented or that it would be so enjoyable."
Ron smiled at her, "Well, I haven't had much practice but Mum had a book…" he trailed off embarrassed.
"Really? You've actually bothered to read an actual book that wasn't about Quidditch?"
"Well, what can I say," muttered Ron, embarrassed, "the book looked interesting and it had moving pictures that were intriguing and once I started reading I found it fascinating."
"Oh, yes, I can see how such a subject would get your attention. How old were you?"
"Oh, I was only about 12. Please don't tell Fred and George. They don't know because I use silencing charms to practice the techniques the book described to help strengthen one's own abilities and to lengthen one's endurance. They were hard at first and they hurt a bit but then they really started working."
"Oh, I won't breathe a word to them, if…"
"IF what?" asked Ron.
"If you are ready to do it again?"
"Sure am," he smiled, "Just let me get some water and I'll be ready to go."

So, Ron got some water, gargled with it, swallowed some, and sang for Hermione, in a beautiful voice. That book, "How to sing to attract the opposite sex," really did work.
