Trap of Love
Disclaimer:
I do not own Harry Potter, the characters, any familiar dialogue, or the song. This song is from an episode of the revamped series Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, and goes by the aforementioned title by the new Hex Girls band.
This is my first song-fic and I think it fits the relationship between Lily Evans, Severus Snape and James Potter. (I'm using this as a way to get out of my writer's block.)

Your unfeeling heart imprisons me...
A branch snapped from above. She screamed as it crashed onto her sister's shoulder and the older girl ran off, tears in her eyes.
"You did that, didn't you?" the red-head asked, rounding on the boy standing behind her.
"N-no! I-I didn't!" he stammered, amazed that he had been caught. "I'm sorry!"
There was no real apology in his voice...
Careless eyes, Too blind to see...
"It was just a little fun, that's all," he defended.
"It was Dark magic, and if you think that's funny..." she trailed off in her anger.
She could see what was happening, but obviously he could not...
Empty words, An iron cage...
"So Sev, are we going to go to the library today? You promised to help me study for the O.W.L.s," Lily asked as she approached him after class was finished.
"Sure Lily. I'll see you there at eight," he replied in his usually detached voice.
Eight o'clock came, but he did not...
Broken heart...
"I don't need help from filthy Mudbloods like her!" his voice resounded in her mind.
She went up into the castle, tears coming down fast and hard, and up to her dorm. She looked down at a photograph, sitting in the middle of her four-poster bed in the thankfully empty room.
The photograph was of them in first year, all dressed up in their House robes and with smiles on their faces.
Bleeding rage!
Her brows furrowed as she grabbed both sides of the picture and tore it in half, crying in anger as she did so...
Can't wait for you and me...
"I'm sorry."
"I'm not interested."
"I'm sorry!"
"Save your breath."
It's time I break free!
"It's too late. You've chosen your path and I've chosen mine," she said.

Before he could say more, she went back into the dorms and never looked back...
Set me free, Uncage my heart!
"I'm sorry," he said.
"As am I," his friend agreed.
"Me too," the third concurred.
"You'll be okay," the fourth reassured.
"Thanks you guys," she smiled at them.
Her heart was beginning to mend already as the four gave her a hug in turn...
Can't wait for you and me...
"Can't you reconsider?" he pleaded. "I'll be better for you!"
"It's too late. I'm marrying him," she replied as gently as possible.
"Why?'
"Because I love him."
She stepped out of the room and away from him forever...
It's time for you to see!
"I pronounce you man and wife!" the pastor declared to the gathered masses.
One lone figure left, never to see her again...
