Disclaimer: I do not own Soul Eater.
A/N: Just a little idea I had while reading through an old discussion I had with some fans here on the site. Cogs started turning and BAM look what we have. xD I'm not gonna continue this until AFTER Past Hauntings/Life is a Ball/CAC is complete, but I hope you guys enjoy this little teaser for what's in store!
Beta'd by Makio-Momma and Kit-Love. Thank you guys ever so much!
It's an AU, if you haven't guessed. I'm also using ENGLISH, so there won't be any Japanese endings (like -san, -kun, -chan, -hakase, -sensei, etc, etc) Enjoy~

"Are you sure we can do this?" Maka breathed as she peeked out at the crowd gathered in the auditorium. It was enormous, and the noise of the mob swelled in a nerve-wracking cacophony
"'Course we can," Soul drawled as he cracked his knuckles.
"Yeah, let's do this!" Black*Star crowed, fake strumming his bass guitar. "Yahoo~!"
"We'll be fine," Tsubaki said quietly. The group shared glances and looked at their sponsor, who was leaning on the wall, an unlit cigarette in his mouth.
"If you do what you've been doing, you guys will rock this place," the silver-haired man told them. "Just remember, it's not going to go right if you don't work together. Your souls have to match to get the music right. Don't outdo each other."
"Yes, Professor Stein," the band of five chirped. Death the Kid was running around making final adjustments to their outfits, and Liz was doing the same to their makeup when a voice called out,
"Please give a warm round of applause to the final band of the evening, Soul Symphony!" Stein gave his band a thumbs-up and let them file out onto the stage.
They found their customary positions: Maka in front, Tsubaki on her left, Black*Star on her right, Soul and Patti in the back on their respective instruments. Maka looked the band over before saying said into the microphone,
"Hey, everyone. We're Soul Symphony, and please enjoy our song, 'Beat of the Soul'" She turned to Patti and nodded. The blonde grinned like a maniac and pounded her drumsticks together.
"One, two, three, four!"
And the band began to play.
To Be Continued.
