AN: Nothing special. Just a little something that came to mind. This is how I think Season 3 and/or the series could end.

Disclaimer: Chuck and it's characters are property of NBC and whoever else owns them. I don't claim them as my own.

The End

The trio of haggard spies practically fell out of the black SUV as it pulled to a stop outside of the apartment complex. Chuck leaned heavily on Sarah due to pure exhaustion and a sprained ankle. Leaving the gear in the car to be unloaded another day, Casey plodded behind the pair.

"You'd think after a year of being Mr. 2.0 that you would know how to take a fall Bartowski," Casey playfully chastised.

"And I would have thought that after thirty some years of being on Earth you would have abandoned the robot tendencies of you home planet," Chuck returned with minimal effort.

"After three years as teammates, I thought you two would grow up. Which of us is most foolish?" Sarah interjected, heading off their developing argument.

Chuck sighed; Casey grunted.

"We had another successful mission, and General Beckman is happy. Let's leave it at that," Sarah implored as they reached the point of parting.

Letting out another grunt, Casey adjusted the bag on his shoulder. "Fine with me. You two have fun playing house;
I'm going to bed."

Once Chuck and Sarah looked sufficiently awkward with his implications, Casey disappeared into his apartment. Chuck removed his arm from his partner's shoulder and limped to the door. After unlocking the deadbolt, he opened it wide for Sarah to pass.

"After you," he said with a lavish gesture.

Sarah gave him an amused look and complied. "My hero," she joked.

After turning on the lights and kicking off their shoes, Sarah forced Chuck onto the sofa.

"I need to take a look at your ankle," she ordered, reaching for his leg.

Chuck stopped her with a hand to the forearm. She shot him a questioning glance. "My ankle can wait. What I need is you."

The intensity and lust in his eyes was clear. Sarah's eyes darted around the room in contemplation.

"Are you sure he's asleep?"

"I put extra in his whiskey today," he assured.

Before the sound waves from his voice touched the walls, Sarah had launched herself onto Chuck's welcoming frame. Their lips could not be sated.

While the couple was otherwise occupied, a smiling and fully conscious Colonel Casey crept out of the shadows.

"I knew it!"
