DISCLAIMER: …um. Haven't we been through this before?

A QUICK A/N: I know I have other stories to finish. I'm really sorry, but this idea came to me and I wanted to post it.

SUMMARY: Did you ever wonder what happened to the boat bought (named Papouli) in the episode The Last Dance? Well, just read…

CHAPTER ONE

Danny Tanner opened the back door of his San Francisco home and sighed happily. It was 8 am, and already the heat was rising. The cool bay air blew and pleasantly fanned his face. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky; just clear blue. The wind was slowly getting faster and faster.

The perfect day to use the family's new boat!

One week before, Danny's brother-in-law Jesse had invited his Greek grandfather, who preferred to be called Papouli, to visit. Papouli had a genuine spirit and everyone really enjoyed his company. But, to everyone's shock, Papouli's heart gave away in his sleep and passed away. Everyone was devastated, particularly Jesse. Michelle, who was only seven years old, was also heartbroken, since Papouli was supposed to come to her school and teach everyone a Greek dance.

On a grieving impulse, Danny bought a boat that had the name PAPOULI etched across the side. Truthfully, he had first regretted the extravagant purchase. But now, he was grateful. It was the perfect day to go sailing in the bay!

But why limit themselves to the bay? Why not drive out to the beach?

DJ, Danny's beautiful seventeen year old daughter, walked into the kitchen in her bathrobe. "Morning, dad." She mumbled, still half asleep. It was spring break, and she had a research paper to write. She had a lot of work ahead of her that day. She didn't even want to think about it.

"How would you feel if we went for a boat ride today?" Danny asked cheerily. DJ looked up at her dad's hopeful, bright face, and couldn't bear to disappoint him.

"That sounds great." She said with a weak smile. She could always write the paper tomorrow…or something…

Just then, twelve year old Stephanie walked down the stairs, Michelle at her tail. Danny asked them the same question he had asked DJ moments ago, and they were dreadfully excited. Danny smiled. The girls hadn't been this happy since Papouli had passed away…

"I'm going to go get Jesse and Becky and the twins!" Cried Michelle. A boat ride! How exciting! Denise will be so jealous, she thought to herself. She smugly strutted out of the kitchen, already forming lines in her head. Yes, we went on our own private boat over break. How much did it cost? Only 1 million dollars. She wasn't sure about the 1 million dollars part, but who would notice if she stretched the truth a little?

Outside, clouds were filling in the once perfectly blue sky. As the whole Tanner family (and Kimmy) piled into the car, boat trailer behind, they paid little attention to the new formulating clouds. They were determined to have a good time, even though it was a long car ride to the beach, especially with Kimmy's obnoxious comments.

It took 2 cars to drive everyone. One car had Danny driving, with Joey in the passenger seat and DJ, Stephanie and Kimmy in the back. They had the trailer with the boat tugging along. The other car had Jesse, Becky, Nicky, Alex and Michelle. Becky insisted on driving. Jesse's motorcycle techniques may not be a good idea for a car with three children in the back.

And so they were off.

And they didn't know it, but they had a bigger day ahead of them then they expected.

A/N: do you guys like the idea? It always bothered me how they never did something with the Papouli boat.

Sorry it's short.

It won't be cliché, I promise. Just wait and see.
