My name is Rose Tyler. When I was 19 years old my life changed forever. A man who called himself 'the Doctor' saved me. He took me away in a little blue box and showed me the universe. But that's not all he showed me. He showed me how to live, and he showed me that there's far more to living than I'd ever known. I knew right from the beginning that it wasn't just me that needed saving when he found me, I wasn't the only one who was lost. I was drifting, I didn't know what I was doing or where I was going, but he saved me, he taught me there was more to me than I'd ever realised, he showed me things about myself that I would never have found out alone. But he was drifting too. I saved him by teaching him to live the way he taught me. I taught him how to feel again when I could see that he had forgotten. I showed him things he hadn't noticed he was missing, and things nobody else had either. I knew him better than anyone, and that was the way he knew me right back. We needed each other to remind ourselves who we were.
One day we thought we were gonna die, so he sent me away where I could be safe, but he didn't understand. He didn't understand that I didn't care about myself anymore. He was my life and I would give anything for him. The second time I lost him again, I couldn't hold on. His shouts still echo in my head when I stop to think: my fear; my helplessness; my determination not to fall. But I couldn't hold on. I slipped and fell into the void. But even when we were separated by universes I came back to him when he needed me most.
Now, he's in danger once again and I will go to him for the final time. This will be the end and I will risk everything so the man that took me away can live on… even if I can't. Because I love him. And I will save him. No matter what.
