Chapter 1:
It was the day of February 10th. Valentines Day was coming up! The Teen Titans were very excited. All that is, except for Beast Boy. For some reason, he just couldn't get into the Valentines Day spirit. Everyone else was. Robin and Starfire decided to be valentines, Cyborg fond an online valentine he's been emailing none stop. Even Raven met a guy at a club who was going to stop by for a little wile on the big day. Everyone had a valentine, except Beast Boy.
"Come on Beast Boy, I have a friend I can hook you up with." His friends offered.
"No thank, I'm not interested." Was always his reply. You see, there was a girl he really wanted to be his valentine. Her name, was Tara. She was beautiful, smart, strong, brave, and do to a horrible accident, she was made of stone. The titans tried to bring her back, but they never succeed.
Although he knew that she wasn't alive and couldn't answer, Beast Boy liked to go to the cave where she stands to talk to her. And now that Valentines Day was coming up, he was visiting her a lot lately. He would shift into an eagle and fly away into the dark moist cave to be with his sweet heart.
"Hey Tara." He would say. "How are you doing? Things are ok for me. You'll never guess what Starfire wanted us to eat. It was some kind of…." He stopped. He heard something. It sounded like, like breathing. He listened.
"huuuuu, huhhhhh, huuuuu, huhhhhh." He was nervous know.
"Who's there?!" he shouted out. No answer, just the breathing. Beast Boy looked up at the statue standing in front of him. "Tara?" he asked. Breathing. "Don't worry Tara. I'll get help. Just keep breathing! I'll be right back!" as he Beast Boy flew into the distance, he was filed with both glee, and fear.
"You guy! Hurry up we have to go!" Beast Boy shouted as he ran through the door. "Come on get off your buts we have to get going!"
"Whoa! Slow down Beast Boy. What's going on?" asked Robin.
"We have to get up to the cave! It's Tara! She's alive!"
"What!?" they all shouted. "Are you sure?" asked Raven.
"Positive. Now come on!" with that, they were off, not knowing what to expect.
When they arrived at the cave where Tara stood, silent. "I was sitting right here talking, just talking, when I heard breathing."
"Breathing?" Asked Cyborg.
"How does a statue breath?" asked Starfire.
"It doesn't." Cyborg replied.
"No! She was breathing! I heard her!" Beast Boy was frantic. Robin walked a little further into the cave. He looked up and saw a small hole in the top of the cave.
"Look Beast Boy, a hole." Robin said "The wind probably blew over the hole, and sounded like breathing. It coming Tara was all in your head. She's just a statue."
"But, but, but. Your probably right."
"Come on, lets go home." The others left right away, but Beast Boy waited a little while longer. As he turned to leave, a wind blew across the hole. It sounded like, a whistle.
