The Pokémon world is an expanse of land, sea and skies, usually, Pokémon bond with their trainers through battling and loyalty, however there are the certain few Pokémon that have to survive on their own, one of the Pokémon who have it the worst is Cubone. It's bad enough that Cubone lose their mothers and have to deal with Mandibuzz, but a minority of Cubone are lucky and their mothers live, that's the thing with this specific Cubone, this Cubone knows English Language as does his mother, so their more advanced than regular.
"Mom, why are we so lucky?" Cubone asked the Bonekeeper Pokémon
"Well, it's hard to explain, really it's-" Marowak was cut off at the sound of an explosion, the little Cubone yelped in fear as the being came closer.
Mewtwo.
"What's that!?" Cubone asked in fear
"Mewtwo..." The Mewtwo just grunted
Mewtwo prepared to launch a Psystrike at Cubone
"Look out!" Marowak jumped in the way of the Psystrike temporarily blocking it with Protect
"Cubone, take my Thick Club and RUN."Marowak requested of the young Pokémon
"But mom-" Cubone protested
"RUN!" Marowak bellowed as the barrier began to crack
Cubone started to run for his dear life as the barrier shattered, pulverising Marowak, nothing was left.
Cubone tried to hold in his tears as he saw his mother become nothing but matter in the skies of Kalos.
