They sat on the ground over looking the canoe lake. The Moon was shining on their faces. Silena shivers, winter was slowly turning into spring. Too slowly for her liking. She snuggles closer to Charlie.
The Titan War was coming and she knew that by mid spring he would be off on a dangerous mission risking his life. Though she was nervous she had confidence that he would come back to her in one piece. Charlie turned and looked down at her and felt his heart well up. She was beautiful, she was talented, and she was smart. The only child of Aphrodite to care about things other than vanity. She was his only love. She was his forever. He loved her with every inch of his heart and it hurt so much to know that they might not live to see next year. She looked up at him with her eyes glazed over, it was a face he knew so well, she was thinking.
"What's on your mind?" He asks and she knew just how curious he was.
"Us, our future." she says unsure as she looked away. Not knowing if there would be a future or if Charlie even wanted one with her. He used his thumb to lift up her chin and turn her face so she was looking at him.
"You know I love you, right?" He asks, his voice filled with love. "You are my Forever." She smiles back brightly,
"And you are mine." Suddenly with just those few words all their worries were gone. At least for this one beautiful night.
