Hi! This is the translation of a small one shot I wrote in the middle of the night. Hope you'll like it. Thanks a lot to my beta TheArgentMoon, you're the best!

Spoilers: Doomsday and Journey's end...I think

One day, I asked you how long you planned to stay with me. You answered "forever"while smiling. Despite this, we were separated. I burned up a sun to say goodbye, you know it. I thought I could move on. I wasn't successful. I ran, as I always did; but this time it was to flee from the memory of you.

Nevertheless, for a moment I thought that I had finally found you. For a moment, I only entertained the hope of being whole again, of the two of us finally reunited. I couldn't have been more wrong. It was on this beach that I said goodbye the first time; it was on this same one that I lost you the second time.

So what, Rose Tyler? This always that sounded like a promise, have you betrayed it? You, who is now in another dimension. So close and yet unreachable. Are you at least happy with Him? With this other Doctor who is not me? You broke my hearts, you know? When at Bad Wolf Bay, where everything ended, I saw you kissing him and him saying to you the words that you had never heard and will never hear from me. I should rejoice for you and your probable happiness but I can't, Rose Tyler. When I imagine you in his arms, all I feel is jealousy. I should not. I have had centuries to get used to this kind of thing, these kinds of feelings. But it seems that we've never had to get used to them.

You've changed me, Rose. You've made me see the world, your world, in a new and wonderful way and I'm eternally grateful to you. But it was too short. A mere moment in eternity. I miss you; it's as simple as that. I'm trying to move forward but I don't forget you and I never will. Hey, Rose Tyler, what's it like in your dimension? I...

The Doctor sighed and put down his pen. What was the point of writing to someone that you would never see again? The brown-haired man let out a second sigh before crumpling the paper. The ink that stained his hands had not yet dried, perhaps because of the few tears that had wetted the writing on the sheet of paper.

At the same time, but yet so far away, a young girl walked away from her desk in annoyance. She had been called. It was her husband, probably, as per usual. The blonde girl exited the room, leaving on her desk a sheet covered with eraser bits. Several other crumpled, rejected copies filled her garbage can to the brim. On the one surviving sheet, a message was still legible:

"I promised to stay with you forever. But it seems obvious now that some eternities are bigger than others."

This is the end! (hold your breath and count to ten /sbaf/) erm...anyway I hope you enjoyed the story!
