Absolutely Almost Perfect: After Snowflakes and Violets

A little one-shot that takes place about fifteen years after Victoire and Teddy get married. I'd like to dedicate this story to wisegirlwiseeyes, who asked for a sequel.

Disclaimers: Own nothing but their children.

"What house do you want to be in?" Victoire smiled at her sons question. Ever since the Hogwarts letter had come for his older sister Will had talked of nothing but houses.

"I've told you a million times, Gryffindor!" Remy's response sounded annoyed.

"I'd rather be in Ravenclaw like Uncle Louis." Victoire raised her eyebrows at Teddy. Of all their Ravenclaw relatives she didn't think Louis was the best role model.

"Don't any of you want to be a Huflepuff like me?" Teddy's voice sounded hurt but his face showed he was joking.

"I do Daddy." The youngest Lupin, Isabelle, or Ella, replied from her fathers back.

"That's my girl." Ella hugged her dad's neck and grinned. She'd been a Daddy's girl forever, even sharing Teddy's dark hair. The family approached the barrier between Platforms 9 and 10. Remy took off, pushing her cart, her light blonde hair streaming behind her. Victoire took Will's hand (ignoring his protests) and followed. Teddy, with Ella still on his back, was the last to go.

"Mum, Will won't stop flinging that thing in my face." The eight-year-old quit playing with his yo-yo long enough to glare at his sister.

"Don't be such a tattletale Nymphadora." Remy's face and hair went bright red. Victoire knew the danger signs and grabbed her son's collar. "Mum, I didn't do anything." Teddy and Ella snorted in unison.

"All right you two, stop bickering. It's almost time for Remy to get on the train." Teddy let his five-year-old daughter down so they could say good-bye.

"Remember, we'll write you every week." Remy rolled her eyes at her mother but nodded.

"Bye Remy, I'll miss you." Ella buried her face in her sister's jumper. Remy gave her baby sister a kiss on the head and then reached for her brother.

"Come here, give me a hug." Will blushed the color of his hair but allowed Remy to give him a quick hug.

"Good-bye Nymphadora." She glared playfully at her father as she hugged him tight.

"Love you Dad." She turned to look at her mother. "I love you too Mum." Victoire pulled her daughter into a fierce hug.

"Good-bye Remy, be good." Teddy picked up the trunk and loaded it into a compartment. Remy waved as the last whistle sounded and hurried to climb aboard. As Will and Ella ran alongside the train Teddy slid his arm around Victoire.

"Have I told you that you're beautiful today?" His wife chuckled.

"No," Teddy looked playfully offended, "do you still think I'm beautiful?"

"Of course I do."

"Well you aren't so bad yourself. Even if you are almost forty." Teddy groaned.

"Don't say that, it makes me feel old."

"You aren't old. Aberforth is old, McGonagal is old. And even if you were I'd still love you just as much as I did twenty years ago." Teddy kissed the side of her head. It was true that they weren't as young as they used to be. Teddy had a few gray hairs, courtesy of his father, and Victoire had a couple lines around her eyes. But that didn't change the fact that their lives were absolutely almost perfect.
