Soooo, I made a sort of series before of my "Go _____" stories. A loooooong time ago, I actually made a fourth one. I never got it posted. I believe I was a bit disheartened by the lack of response to Go Away. Anyways, I was bored one night, and I opened my rough draft drawer and I began reading random drafts when I came upon the one for Go On. So, here it is. As far as I know, it's the final of the series.
Disclaimer: I do not own Criminal Minds.
SSA Aaron Hotchner stood in the corner of the conference room, arms crossed across his chest. He watched as his disgruntled and extremely tired agents filed in and took their seats. Pushing himself from his spot, Hotch placed himself at the head of the room, addressing them. "I'm-"
"Where's JJ?" Reid interrupted, immediately realizing his mistake. He cringed.
Hotch looked around, realizing that the media liaison was not, in fact, with them. "I don't know," he replied, trying his hardest to hold back a yawn. He was about to pull out his phone to call her when it began ringing in his hand.
"Hotchner," he answered, holding the phone to his ear. He listened intently. "Alright." Hotch shut the phone.
"That was JJ," he informed the others. "Henry is giving her a little trouble, so she is going to be late," he said, imagining the difficulties he had when Jack was born. "I'll explain the case. Like I said before, I'm sorry to have to call you in so early, but this is-" Hotch was interrupted yet again.
"Actually, Hotch," Morgan half-groaned. "Could we get some coffee?" He yawned as if to prove his point.
"Fine. Go. Hurry," Hotch commanded tersely.
He could feel the combination of his lack of sleep, the constant interruptions, and recent stress starting to get on his nerves. The agents hurried out to get some caffeine into their systems, rushing, as if they could feel his rising annoyance. Hotch reasoned that Morgan and Prentiss probably needed it to stave off their inevitable pounding headaches anyways. The man waited impatiently for them to return. He was very close to tapping his foot impatiently against the floor.
When Morgan, Reid, Rossi and Prentiss returned, Hotch raised his eyebrow and asked, "Are you all ready now?"
"Yes. Go on," Rossi answered politely, being the only one who had not been up all night. In fact, he seemed rather rested, even for the early hour.
Hotch opened the file. There have been five victims so far; all female, all brunette. The police only now notice the connection and-"
"I'm so sorry I'm late!" JJ cried, rushing into the room. This was one disruption that Hotch was actually glad for. He handed the metaphorical reins over to JJ as she explained herself.
With a sigh, Hotch plopped into his chair, sinking into it. He listened to JJ explaining the case with a 'thank God' smile on his face, though he didn't let any of the others see it, of course.
The revenge of Rossi! Sort of!
Anyways, please, please, please review!
