This is not a crossover. Nope, just some Digimon elements such as the Digimon themselves but no actual characters from Digimon (the anime).
Hope and Light
The orange little, flying, hamster gave him hope.
Hope that he needed to get over the fact that he had caused countless deaths for no good (at least in his mind) reason. He chuckled as the creature's gentle wings brushed his cheeks, clearly a sign of comfort. To Ryoga, his Digimon partner was adorable yet stubborn at the same time. Always wanting to eat, he would sometimes play with his ring, as well as with his sister's partner when they get up in the early morning hours. As cute and cuddly as he was, Patamon (for that was his name) was also a fierce fighter. Ryoga remembered how, yesterday, Durbe joked how the little trickster was much like him - noble, honorable, a knight sworn to protect his king at all costs.
"Ryoga..." his friend's soft voice sounded as he spoke, his wings flattering in the air as he flew up onto his partner's head. "Could we go and meet with the others again? Yuuma-san is a funny human!"
"That he is, Patamon, that he is..." the Digimon watched his partner's eyes roll playfully as he moved his attention back to the book he had been reading. From across the room, his partner's twin sister Kamishiro Rio was painting her nails, teasingly 'attacking' her own partner with some ink. The creature chuckled and focused on his partner again.
The small cat-like Digimon was the light in her life.
It felt strange to say - think - that when she never really liked cats before but this one was special. Tailmon was such a gentle soul that Rio couldn't bring herself to tell her about the horrors of the war that she never witnessed. She couldn't.
Tickling behind the cat's soft, white ears as she purred, the former Barian giggled with some amusement on her face. Indeed, the light, cheerful way Tailmon carried herself made Rio believe that anything can be possible. No matter the problems and whatever was in their way. She understood very well why that was the case. The answer was quite simple.
They would always hope and light in their lives. And that was enough.
That was kinda cute actually... in a strange way.
Thanks for reading!
