Germany reluctantly placed his hand on the handle of the door to today's meeting place. The countries were supposed to be meeting to discuss something, but Germany had long since forgotten what it was. They had been meeting every day for the last week and somehow or another, the meeting was derailed within five minutes with the countries' yelling at each other or just making a complete ruckus and so no work had gotten done at all. Germany had a vague idea that he really wouldn't be missed at the meeting, but his sense of duty was telling him to just turn the handle already and enter.
"Germany, Germany~" He heard behind him, tensing up slightly as the North Italian latched on to his arm. "Come with me~" Germany felt himself being pulled away from the door, and gave Italy a stern look.
"Veneziano, we can't skip the meeting," He told him forcibly, his words losing a bit of their meaning by the fact that he was letting the Italian pull him in the opposite direction of the meeting house.
"Ve~ Germany, it's not like anything was getting done! Everyone just kept fighting! This will be so much better!" The face the Italian was making should be banned.
Resisting the urge to pinch his nose to fight off the headache he felt coming, Germany let out a sigh. "Fine, Veneziano." They wouldn't be missed, anyway, he decided.
A half hour later, Germany had decided that while walking around aimlessly, listening to Veneziano chatter on and on about pasta definitely beat being at the meeting, it was still pointless and that they were most likely lost. "Uh, Veneziano?"
The chatter ceased, and the Italian's hold on his arm tightened a bit. "Ve?"
"Do you know where we are?"
Italy opened his eyes and nodded. "Yes! We're at a park, see?" He pointed, running off in the direction of the swings, still pulling Germany behind him. He let go when they reached the play equipment, jumping onto a swing. "Push me Germany?"
Germany simply stared at him. "You're a grown man. Surely you can push yourself."
"Ve~ But Germany~ It's more fun when someone pushes you!" He was giving Germany that look again. Growling, Germany shook his head, but gave Italy a gentle push anyway. The pattern continued and the Italian started laughing, causing Germany to smile. All in all, it was a beautiful day, and while the Italian could be tiring, he would much rather spend a day doing nothing with him than spend half a day yelling with other nations.
~~Meanwhile~~
England let out an annoyed sigh as America started in on his "I'm the hero and you all are my back up!" speech, and looked around the room.
"Hey," England said loudly, interrupting America's speech. "Has anyone seen Germany or North Italy? They seem to be missing." The nations looked around, not seeing the pair, and shrugged before going back to their individual conversations. England sat back in his chair as the noise level and his headache increased and grumbled, "Lucky bastards." Next time, he would skip the meeting, too.
