"Your sister is being devoured by Darva, not just her soul, her body too," Pai Mei Lin's words echoing through her head.
Alice shuddered, watching the rain pour down. It couldn't be true.
It all happened so suddenly, but each time adversity was thrown in Alice's face, her resolve to save her sister grew.
She was going to get Mayura back. She was going to become a Neo Master, find the lost words and tell Kyo just how she felt about him.
"I can do it!" she said confidently.
"What's that?" Frey popped his head round the door.
"Oh, Frey....it was nothing" Alice blushed slightly. She wondered how loud she had said that.
"You know I'm here to help you Alice, don't you?" Frey asked, moving toward her.
"Yeah, I know, but this is between me and my sister, I have to do it. I have to tell her I'm sorry."
"I'll do anything I can for you," he whispered in her ear, putting his arms around her.
"Uh....Frey....."Alice blushed.
"I know, and I told you before. I'll take you from him if I have to," he looked her in the eyes before letting go of her.
"I'm going to go to bed, goodnight Frey," she said politely.
"Goodnight Alice," he gave her a reassuring smile. It made her feel better.
She shut the door after him. That was pretty submissive for Frey. He must have realised that she was too busy worrying about her sister. She changed and looked in the mirror, fingering the Mirror of Lota draped around her neck.
She looked up at the mirror and gasped.
"Mayura!" she cried, shocked. Instead of her reflection was Mayura's image.
"I hope your ready Alice," Mayura warned, "The best is yet to come. Kyo WILL be mine, no matter what," the mirror shattered.
It finally dawned on Alice as she dropped to her knees. The time was now to get Mayura back. She had all the Lotis Masters to help her: Frey, Chris, Billy, Pai Mei Lin and Kyo. She and Kyo could do it, together.
It was all or nothing.
