Hermione walked downstairs to the Great Hall. She just arrived at Hogwarts last night. She sat down beside her two best friends Harry and Ron. "So, how was your night 'mione? Harry asked. "Fine, yours?" Hermione replied. "Ok." Harry answered. "What bout you Ron?" Ron was picking at something on his plate moving it around with his fork, and didn't even reply to Hermione's question. "RON!" Hermione said loudly. Ron jumped when she did this and his fork landed with a clatter. "What!?" Ron asked breathing heavily. "Oh, nothing!" Hermione said as nicely as she could but you could still hear a tint of annoyance in her voice. "girls" Ron muttered under his breath. Hermione's eyes wondered the large room, looking at all the students. She saw the most unexpected person looking at her, Draco Malfoy! (like u didn't know it was gonna be him, it is a Draco and Hermione ff---lol) She looked back at Draco he looked well, handsome, he had changed a lot. He didn't gell his hair back as much and he was more muscular. She wondered if he had changed on the inside as well, (*all of Hermione's and Draco thoughts are represented with *) *What r u thinking, he is a slytherin you can't like he, he would have all ready killed you if it wasn't against Hogwart's rules.* When Draco noticed she was staring back he looked a way and acted as normal as possible, but it was so hard for him to act normal when she was watching. Now she was even hotter than last year. Her hair was straight and her teeth were gorgeous. "COME ON, DRACO, WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE!" Pansy grabbed Draco by the arm and began tugging because she wasn't strong enough to make him stand up. "WE HAVE TO GET TO HERLOGY!"(however you spell it) Pansy cried. "Since, when do you want to go to class so early." Draco asked annoyed that she had interrupted his thoughts about Hermione. Hermione watched Draco leave with Pansy. *He could never love me.* Hermione sighed and told her friends they'd better get to class to especially since it was the first day back.
