All lights were out in Konoha. Absolute black darkness filtered the night sky. In a small condo, a pink-haired kunoichi awoke in fear. There was a feeling of discomfort squarely in her heaving chest. For a split second, she thought it was his voice she was hearing.
"Sakura.."
"Sakura…"
"I love you"
"I denied my lust for you all these years…"
"Sakura, remember my promise to you…"
"That's right! I killed him! I killed him for destroying our life together!!!"
She could not tell if the voice belonged to the man she loved or the man who loved her. She could not tell if the voice returned to haunt or comfort her. But when she heard her baby sound asleep, her body relaxed. A sigh of relief left her at the sight of a serene expression across her peaceful child. So, tonight a voice visited to give comfort.
I wish that I could rewind the all the wonderful moments of life and erase the dreadful ones. I wish that no one had to be lonely. I wish that no one had to leave. I wish that no one had been left alone. I wish that all human beings could see all that I see.
The day Sasuke abandoned his teammates, Sakura cried. The day that Naruto and Sakura encountered him, she cried as well. The day Naruto returned to Konoha nearly dead and Sasuke-less, Sakura cried her hardest. The day that Sakura decided to give up on him, she cried. Years lapsed and those silly little feelings for the Uchiha gradually vanished. Years lapsed and she gained those silly little feelings for her other comrade.
"Naruto, thank you," she said one day after Naruto paid for her ramen. "Thank you for the ramen and…and for being here.. with me" Naruto knew that she loved him. The feeling was clearly mutual. Nothing was said but they had a habit of speaking with their eyes.
"You too Sakura," Naruto responded.
The day that Naruto proposed for her hand in marriage, she cried the happiest tears. Everybody was happy. All was well….for a while.
The day of their wedding, the only remaining Uchiha returned.
A/N-
this was a story that i had written way back. i never actually turned it into a story. its one of those stories that have a confusing and difficult begining but it all makes sense at the end. and if does continue, it will be short. it's also my first attempt at a NaruSaku pairing. I just could not see Sasuke and Sakura with the story line.
SO...continue?
