A Samurai fic this time, I'm still waiting for inspiration for another Tremma fic, which will most likely be my next Power Rangers fic, if not a Jemily fic.

Summary: Mike meets Lauren for the first time after the final battle, and they catch up over coffee.
Couple: Mike/Lauren
Author's Note: This is AU; it is not set in the canon PRS ending.
Mike exits his workplace, Game Challenge, where he works part-time, to help pay for his college education. His black backpack was slung over his shoulder; his samuraizer was in his jacket pocket. Sometimes he wished that it would ring, but the rangers now used their normal cell phones to contact each other. Mike smiles slightly, but blinks several times when he spots a familiar blond lady wearing red.
Mike taps her shoulder and the lady turns around. The lady has a look of surprise as she gives Mike a smile.
"Lauren, nice to see you! What are you doing back here?" Grinned Mike, giving Lauren a hi-five.
"You too, I'm doing some early Christmas shopping." Replied Lauren.
"But, Christmas is still more than a month away." Said Mike.
"I know, but I have some presents for some of my friends. They don't live nearby, so it's gonna take a while by post." Replied Lauren.
"So, what have you been up to?" Asked Mike, as they waited for the traffic light.
"I've been travelling, I'm thinking of enrolling in college next year along with Jayden. That is if he wants to. A friend of mine recommended me several universities and courses." Shrugged Lauren.
"How about we catch up over some Starbucks? It's getting cold." Suggested Mike, spotting the Starbucks café across the street.
Lauren smiled slightly, "I like that."
The pair crossed the road and entered the café. Mike got their drinks while Lauren waited at a table.
"Here's your iced Latte." Grinned Mike, placing a cup in front of Lauren.
"Thank you, how much do I owe you?" Asked Lauren.
"Don't worry, it's on the house." Grinned Mike.
"Where did you travel to?" Asked Mike?
"Reefside, Blue Bay Harbor, Ocean Bluff and San Angeles among other places." Shrugged Lauren.
"Man, I wish I could travel around the country like you!" Said Mike.
"I heard that former rangers get together once in a while, and the male rangers often suggest camping or backpacking trips. They will usually send invites to all the teams." Said Lauren.
Mike looked interested and grinned, "That sounds fun."
"They usually get together about a week before Christmas." Said Lauren.
"You said that you were going Christmas shopping right?" Asked Mike.
Lauren nodded.
"Mind if I join you? I should get shopping for Christmas presents for my parents, I have week of tests before Christmas. Not to mention that I have to get presents for the rest of the team too." Said Mike.
"I don't mind, and I kinda need some help about what I should get Jayden." Said Lauren.
Mike laughed, "I'd be happy to help you find a gift for Jayden."
"Shall we get going?" Asked Lauren?
Mike nodded and the pair left the café with their drinks.
I totally ship them, because their backgrounds and personalities are total opposites. You know, opposites attract. Personally, among all the Samurai boys, I feel that Mike suits her best. Well, please review!
