Man Up
A one-shot set in Shippuuden, I hope you enjoy it.
"Naruto?"
Sakura came upon a brooding Naruto, sitting outside the ramen joint. He was sighing and staring at the sky.
"Naruto? Naruto! Uzumaki…..huh…."
Nothing she did would get the blonde's attention.
"Huh…what's wrong with you?"
He looked over at her with a blank, dazed stare and looked back up at the sky.
"Hey Naruto, if this is about finding out about Hinata liking you, then snap out of it and MAN UP!!! She has always liked you so go to her." For any passerby this was an odd scene indeed. Sakura finished her statement by posing in front of him like a maniac (like something she would only do in her head) and Naruto was falling off the bench, screaming like no well respected future Hokage would do.
"Wha-wha-what!?!?!?!" Uzumaki was laying on the ground having uncontrollable twitches. Sakura held her head in an annoyed manner.
"Gah, you were acting so mature lately…I said that.."
"I know what you said!!!"
Silence followed.
A loud rumble from Naruto's stomach echoed through the block. He stood, held his stomach and stared and Sakura.
"So..Hinata likes me?"
"……," Sakura's eyes got wide, "you didn't know…then what's with the weird stare and doom and gloom?"
He sighed and glared at a empty bowl on the bar in front of him.
"I…lost most my money on the last mission…..all I could afford was a small bowl of miso…"
Sakura stared.
"Naruto, you idiot."
He laughed, got up, and started to walk down the dark road, "Hey Sakura, I think I'll go man up!"
