Misclaimer: I donnot own Naruto or Sasori or Deidara. If I did, I would kill Sakura, not Sasori, who's WAY too hot to die ;)

Dedicated to Krissi/Kailsy, who LOVES this coupling

Sasori was tinkering with some puppet when he sighed and finally turned his back to his newest creation. The harder he tried not to think of the special blonde, the more Sasori thought of him. Because of that stupid indigo-haired, sharingan-eyed Itachi that was teaching his special Deidara some new skills, or tricks, as Deidara called it. He shuddered at the fact of HIS partner being ripped away from him. Why couldn't Itachi teach that fish thing of a partner of his some 'tricks'? Sasori could teach Deidara on his own.

"Sasori?"

A voice rippled in the distance, cutting the silent and cold night air. The voice was familiar, and a smile flashed across Sasori's face when he heard it.

"Yes, Deidara, I'm here." Sasori's voice seemed to have a light upbeat. The moonlight shone lightly on the blonde's face, his showing eye sparkling lightly.

Sasori wondered when he would confess his true feelings for the blonde. He felt right now was a good time, but he wasn't sure what to say. He opened his mouth to say something, but Deidara got to it first.

"Sasori-danna, I've got something for you." The blonde stepped closer to the puppeteer.

Sasori's eyes drifted from the ground up to meet Deidara's, and he saw something deeper than friendship in his cerulean eyes. Sasori paused, but then said, "Yes, Deidara-kun?"

Deidara said nothing, but stepped into the shadow with Sasori. He wrapped his arms around Sasori and hugged him, but then pulled away. "I-I'm sorry, I-I...-"

"No, Deidara, I want you, too…" The puppeteer kissed the blonde and let go of his fears.

Deidara and Sasori stayed in the shadows for another minute or so, until the blonde looked back towards their camp. "We should…."

"Deidara-kun, I…, I love you." Sasori said, not afraid to say it, but just a little shaky still.

Deidara turned back to Sasori and smiled a special smile, meant for only him.

"I love you too."
