This poem follows the storyline of my Gaara Fic "The Raccoon And The Dog". But this isn't until later in the series when Akane (My O.C.) has stronger feelings for Gaara. It's kind of a spoiler in a way, and for all that don't read my Gaara FanFic it's a good poem anyway...
Go ahead do what you always do,
Rip my heart out I know you want to,
Every day I try my best,
But you just ignore me and call me a pest,
Every day I try to make you smile,
I know when I see it will be worth while,
That night I spilled my heart to you,
But you went ahead and ripped it out anyway like you always do,
You reject me and neglect me I wonder if you even care...
I thought we had something special, Remember that night in the snow,
But apparently you didn't think so,
You paint rust any color you want it's still rust,
How can I earn your trust?
Oh, well I guess another try bites the dust,
I've never been loved and I guess I never will be...
Though I tried to get close but you pushed me away,
But that's alright, cause I know one day,
Your going to wake up,
And realize what you did,
This reminds me of when I was a kid,
Lonely, disappointed, and hated,
You know they say this life is overrated,
Hoping for what could be,
And what would be,
Gee, my one shot at this dastardly thing and I missed it...
You ripped my heart out, didn't you know?
And now I think it's time for me to go,
So go ahead rip my heart out again,
But keep in mind, I'll always love you no matter what in the end...
