Surprise, Surprise!

Summary: A short and sweet Christmas piece involving McCoy and Spock (who gets to show a bit of his human side). Spock has a little Christmas Fever and a logical/illogical surprise for McCoy.

Disclaimer: Spock and McCoy don't belong to me...they belong to each other, however I wouldn't classify this as slash, just a slight misunderstanding on Spock's behalf.

I know Christmas is months away...I've got Christmas In July Fever...I got this idea from a dream and thought it'd make a cute story...here goes...
----------------------------------------------

It was finally Christmas on the Enterprise, and everyone was getting in the spirit of the season. Everywhere you turned, there was a little reminder of the holiday. Wreaths on the doors, a huge, fully decorated, complete with presents for everyone tree in the lounge, and mistletoe hanging everywhere (which made big surprises for some unsuspecting people).

One day, Captain Kirk sent Spock to Dr. McCoy's office, to get the results of the crews' annual medical exams (a "gift" they were reluctant to take, especially Ensign Chekov, for some odd reason). As he pressed the button to open the door, he looked up to see a notorious green sprig above the threshold.

Dr. McCoy, who was sitting at his desk, saw Spock standing at his door. He walked over his way, to see what he wanted.

"What is it, Spock??" McCoy asked, unaware of where he was standing and what Spock's next move would be. Spock placed both hands gently on either side of McCoy's face, leaned in, and planted a huge kiss, full on the doctor's lips.

"WHAT THE DEVIL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOU...VULCAN?!?!?!" McCoy was so outraged, he couldn't even think of a good insult.

"Is it not a custom on Earth for two people to kiss when standing under mistletoe??" Spock asked.

"Yes, but..." McCoy was stopped midsentence by Spock.

"As illogical is the custom seems, it felt logical for me to acknowledge it," a tiny hint of a smile appeared on Spock's lips.

McCoy sighed and smiled at the same time.

"Merry Christmas, Spock," he gave the Vulcan a friendly hug.
