A boy bursts out the front door.
He looks up and I turn away.
Another comes through the door and tries to restrain the boy.
His eyes light up like the sun.
I turn away in fear of judgement.
"Welcome home."
He puts his hands on my face and I can feel his warmth.
"Look at me." I can't.
He turns my head for me and surprise is written in his luminous green eyes and he quickly kisses my cheek, wiping away the tears that escaped.
A whisper escapes my lips.
"I'm home."
Then I lose myself in his lips.
I'm finally home.
