1971: THE END OF THE GHAZI
In 3th December,1971, the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971 broke out. Many military officers like Navy, Air Force, Army were going to fight with each other. INDIA VS PAKISTAN WAR OF 1971. But in this story, I would told you the story of the " SINKING OF PNS GHAZI", the first mission of the war.
On 6'o clock, 4th September, Pakistan Navy deployed GHAZI to destroy INS Vikramaditya which is located in the port of Port Blair. Ghazi's another mission was to destroy the port of Visakhapatnam. After 3 hours, GHAZI arrived on the Eastern border of Andaman. But she was unabled to attack INS Vikramaditya. Commander of GHAZI, Zafar Muhammad Khan adviced the crew that they should then destroyed the port of Visakhapatnam. Vice admiral Krishnan when heard this news, he immediately summoned INS Rajput with LT. Commander Inder Singh to destroy Ghazi as a "TIT FOR TAT". When Ghazi reached there and about to throw missiles on them, Rajput released depth charges which Ghazi was destroyed but Rajput also had to suffer. PNS Ghazi sunk on 10'o clock, 4th December, 1971. INS RAJPUT, CAPTAIN INDER SINGH, VICE ADMIRAL KRISHNAN became a hero who saved INS VIKRAMADITYA.
