Kogami. Kogami!" Akane murmured. The Enforcer groaned in his sleep and rolled over, taking all the covers with him.
"C'mon. Wake up." She whispered, nudging him gently.
"No." He muttered, stretching out the "o" sound.
"Kogami. I don't want to resort to desperate measures. Just get up and we can eat and head to the MWPSB building." She said.
He shook his head. "What's the point? There aren't any major cases going on. We have nothing to do."
She smiled. "Yeah, but if we spend this weekend working, we can catch up on our paperwork. I know Ginoza still wants a report out of you."
He covered his head with a pillow. "No thanks. I'm okay with handling a pissed-off Ginoza." In a lower voice, he added, "It wouldn't be the first time either."
That was the last straw for Akane. She had to do it. She had to make Kogami get up, no matter what. This called for extreme measures.
Akane got out of the bed quietly and made her way to the kitchen, where she set the water in the faucet to the coldest setting. Then, she retrieved her largest mug from the cupboard and filled it up to the brim. Finally, she hunted around her kitchen drawer until she found what she was looking for- an eye dropper. She carefully filled the eye dropper, then headed back the the bedroom.
Kogami was still in the same position as before, which was good for Akane, because he was facing away from her. She slowly peeled the pillow off of his head, then let a single drop of water fall onto Kogami's pale face.
He flinched mildly, but didn't move otherwise, even when the chilly water traveled down his cheekbone and trickled into his left ear. Akane raised the eye dropper again and observed as two more droplets escaped the dropper and splashed onto Kogami, this time running along his jawline.
"Mmmm," He protested feebly, then shifted himself and pulled the covers higher up.
Akane sighed, then chuckled. She wasn't going to regret a single moment of this. She cupped the heavy mug full of cold water, braced herself, then dumped all of its contents onto the sleeping form in the bed.
Kogami shrieked and sat up straight as he was doused with water. His eyes were wild and he looked completely bewildered. The bedsheets, the covers, his clothes, his hair- all soaking wet. "What the hell- Why- Akane-"
Akane smiled ruefully at him. "Towel?" She offered, holding out the largest towel she had managed to procure from the closet. Kogami glared at her, before snatching the towel away from her and rubbing it through his wet hair. "What is wrong with you, Akane? What the hell was that?" He grumbled.
"That was a warning. 'Listen to your girlfriend or bad things will happen to you,' to quote the wise and respected Akane Tsunemori. On the plus side, now you can change and come to the main building without needing a shower." This was the breaking point for Akane, and she collapsed in laughter, holding on the edge of the bed so she wouldn't fall over.
"You look like cat that's been tossed into a bathtub!" She cackled.
"Yeah, and I feel like one too." He said angrily.
This just served to make Akane laugh harder. Kogami glared at her before swinging his legs over the side of the bed and leaving the room to begin his search for a change of clothes.
"I love you, Kogami!" She called out in between giggles.
"You're a terrible person, Akane." He shouted back.
