"James Potter, you put Severus down right now!"
James looked away from the hovering Snape, and saw Lily Evans, who had been the one to yell at him.
"Aw c'mon, Evans. Have a little fun." He said to her. "It's not like Snivelly has anything better to do then hang around all day."
"Put him down, NOW," Lily said, with fire in her eyes. "Or I will make you put him down myself."
Sirius, Remus and Peter looked at James, to see what he would do. No one paid any attention to the still suspended Snape.
"Y'know, Evans, I don't think I will," James replied. "But I may consider changing my mind, IF you agree to go out with me."
Lily took out her wand. "If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times, NO." She said, now raising her wand. "You have until the count of three to put him down, or I will have to do it. One"
James looked from Snape, then back to Lily.
"Two"
He questioned whether this prank was really worth it, especially if he wanted Evans to go out with him.
"Three!"
Lily raised her wand a little more, and began a spell until..
"Alright, alright," said James. "You win. I'll put little Snivelly down."
Once Severus was back on the ground, Lily helped him up and began to walk him away from his bullies.
No one saw the beginnings of a smile on her face, as she thought about the boy with the glasses.
