chapter 1 prologue and intro
Long before the establishment of religion and long before magic the land contained the resonance needed to synchronize with the kingdom of Heaven. This synchronization allowed for the use of spiritual powers by sentient beings. One of the most powerful was the soul anchor. splitting the soul into more than 1 part. The process involved leaving part of the soul within the heart of a loved one. with the promise of the soul being whole after the death of said loved one the person who split the soul would remain alive. indeed love, the purest feeling and action was the key. The resonance would not last forever. Indeed humanity found another way to split the soul, through murder the evilest action ever. killing for the sake of killing. malice, greed, self preservation, indeed the most evil reasons to commit murder. As the resonance broke, heaven and earth were no longer in sync. spiritual powers disappeared. A new power, magic was created and given to ancient creatures that would eventually pass on the powers back to some of humanity.
Harry Potter awoke from a nightmare with tears in his eyes. it had been two weeks since he witnessed the revival of lord voldemort and the death of fellow student Cedric Diggory. it was still in his dreams. The ministry of magic was also not doing a thing except calling him a lier. he had not had any contact from his friends or his godfather. he was alone with his anti-magic relatives who were still sleeping. he heard a noise at the window and saw a owl with a letter and a ring. the letter was from Gringotts.
Dear mr Potter
It is our job to inform you of the passing of your godfather Sirius Black. his last will and testament names you the only benefactor. there is also the revealing of the will of your late father James Potter. the guidelines of these wills grant you emancipation and therefore you must attend yourself. use the portkey in three days to get to the reading.
Sincerely Gringotts.
Harry's mood dropped considerably. his godfather was dead? How he wondered. and what was this about his fathers will, a decade after his death?
