"When she's quiet, ask her what's wrong"
A onyx haired boy and his pink haired lover sat quietly on top a low branch of a cherry blossom tree. It was spring time and the cherry blossom trees were fully in bloom. The boy leaned against the trunk of the tree, while she pressed her back against his chest. The couple watched the orange rays of the sun engulf the city of Konoha and then slowly sink below the horizon. When he noticed that she seriously looked deep in thought, he gently rubbed her arm and asked her what was wrong. He gave a low growl when she shook her head and told him that nothing was wrong. "You're lying."
Sakura sighed and lowered her head in defeat. She closed her eyes and when she finally opened it again, her emerald green eyes looked sadly at him. "You're leaving me again."
"I'm only leaving for a month."
Sakura quickly whipped her head away from his sight as the tears that were already threatening to fall gently rolled down her smooth porcelain cheek. She was going to wipe away her tears because she did not want to feel weak compared to him, but he beat her to it. Sasuke gently rubbed his thumb under her eyes to wipe away her tears.
He gently kissed her slightly damp cheek and whispered in her ear. "I promise I'll come home to you." Sakura stuck out her little pinky and urged him to do the same. He slightly chuckled at her childish antics and wrapped his own pinky against hers.
"I promise."
