Keller went up early in the morning feeling the need to get some work over and done. The sun rose over the ocean and she smiled to herself. It was breakfast time and she knew that Ronon and Teyla and the rest of the gang usually ate at this hour. She had grown attached to the strong Satedan and really enjoyed his company, not that she mind the rest of the team but...
She sighed walking towards his quarters gathering strength. A few minutes later she arrived at his door knocking gently waiting for his reply. The Satedan suddenly appeared in the doorway looking happy to see her.
"Doctor Keller." He said. "Hi Ronon." She looked at him then down in the floor. "I was wondering if we could grab some breakfast and..." She looked at him as he moved over to his bed packing his bag. "Are you leaving?" She asked somewhat perplexed.
"I am sorry but I can't, not today." He said seriously answering her first question.
"Where are you heading?" She asked urging him to answer.
"I am going with Sheppard to earth." He said as he closed the bag.
"Are you sure that's what Colonel Sheppard wants?" She asked softly.
He looked at her, the bag over his shoulder. "I haven't asked and I really don't care."
"Ronon." She warned.
"He needs a friend right now and I am going." He started to move towards the door.
Jennifer placed a hand on his shoulder, stopping him. "Just be careful okay." She said worriedly.
"After all we are only going to attend a funeral." Ronon said a slight smile on his face.
She followed him to the gate room and watched him walk up to the Colonel. They shared some words before Ronon started towards the gate with John slowly walking after him, deep in thought. It was then she realised how close they actually where and what real friendship meant.
Jennifer watched as the gate shut down, they were gone. She had this bad feeling...
