SPEED

Shadow in the darkness, flash of light in the sun
Flying on wheels, though touching the ground
Leaping, soaring, and as I do I yell
Here at least, I'm top of the pack
Leaving all others back in the dust
Night racing with stealth, in day with loud pride
The roar of a crowd, that's okay for me
An engine in the moonlight, that's true music
Taking me to freedom with its song
As I cross that finish line, I thank God
That I have the life that I do
