This story was adapted quite heavily from something else that I wrote a while back, so if you know me in RL, you've probably already read it. :3 Sorry.

"Hey," said Ianto after a moment. "The sky's burning."

Jack shifted from his comfortable position in bed, and looked. "So it is. Imagine that."

"I don't think that's normal."

"I wouldn't think so, no."

"Maybe we should do something about it," Ianto suggested.

Jack considered for a long moment.

"Nope," he decided.

Toshiko was browsing Tumblr in an internet café with expert precision when the screaming started. She was used to this sort of thing by now, really, but she closed her laptop and went to look outside.

"Oh," she said mildly. "The world's ending. How quaint."

"WON'T ANYONE DO SOMETHING!" a passer-by screamed in a Welsh accent, running by in panic.

"It's my lunch break," said Toshiko, annoyed, and took another sip of her horribly-made coffee. "Maybe later."

"But consider this," Rhys said brightly. "Fluffy sharks."

Gwen frowned. "That's just a recipe for disaster."

"Fluffy sharks with lightsabers."

"Okay…"

"Fluffy sharks with lightsabers and rocket-propelled machine guns!"

"Have you been taking drugs?" Gwen asked, frowning. Rhys shrugged and grinned, and there was a comfortable silence.

"Have you noticed that there's meteors falling from the sky?" asked Gwen after a moment.

"Oh," said Rhys. "So they are."

"Weird."

"Do you think we should-"

"-do something about it?"

They looked at each other.

"Nope," they decided in unison.

Owen was sleeping in when the explosions started.

"I TURNED OFF MY ALARM CLOCK!" he yelled, sitting bolt-upright, and looked out the window. "Oh, right. Well, that's just typical." He thought for a moment. "Well, I'm sure someone else can take care of it. It's not like I can do anything."

And with that, he went back to sleep.

Elsewhere, the world ended.

Unfortunately, no one was around to stop it. What a shame.
