DISCLAIMER. I do not own Eve.

"I shall never forgive you, Nick."

Katherine folded her arms, huddling further into the folds of Nick's coat, as the man in question wrestled with the door of the canvas tent that was being battered by the heavy wind and rain. It had been his idea in the first place, after all, this camping trip. To bridge them all together, he said. After Katherine's near-death encounter at Mary's hand, and Eve's rescue of her, Nick had decided that they all needed a little bit of time just to talk things out quietly, to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, to bond as a single group of people working together. It was just a mighty shame that no one else was agreeing with him.

"Didn't you bother to check the weather reports before we left?" Katherine continued, eyebrows raised in a way that told him that she already knew that he didn't check the weather forecast and that anything he said from this point onwards was going to be held against him.

"Um...yes?" He cleared his throat. "Yes. Yes, I did...Maybe."

Katherine let out a noise of irritation, rolling her eyes. "Don't you think about these things, Nick? What if the roof rips and we all drown? What happens if it - I mean, Project Eter - I mean, Eve - gets water damaged by this hideous leaking tent you've managed to cobble together from somewhere?" She glanced over at one of the bedroom pods attached to the inside of the tent. Eve and Nick's son were sealed off inside, talking in hushed voices, arms wrapped around each other in an attempt to keep away from the drenched walls of the dripping tent. They seemed perfectly content clinging together in their own little bubble, and Katherine didn't blame them; she thought longingly of her apartment building in the centre of town, a nice quaint little place. A nice quaint warm little place.

"Eve will be alright. So long as she's careful - No...It's no use." Nick had to raise his voice against the howling noise outside. "The door won't hold together. We're just going to have to stick this out until morning."

Katherine glowered at him. "I am not spending my Saturday night freezing in a ramshackled tent."

"You don't have to be cold."

"Why, have we got an electric heater? In fact, have we got any electric at all?"

"Well, no," Nick admitted. Katherine opened her mouth to complain some more, but he cut her off. "But, it's alright. We can fix this."

"And how are we planning on doing that?"

"Here!" Nick awkwardly shuffled his way across the tent, and slung an arm around Katherine's shoulders. "This should keep you warm."

"Nick."

"Hm?"

"Don't think that this has gotten you out of trouble."
