As she watched Peter and all the lost boys fly back to Neverland aboard the Jolly Roger. Wendy hadn't much thought beyond her steadfast belief in fairies, pirates, lost boys, Neverland, Peter Pan and her new found ability to fly.

"I'll always believe in you Peter Pan," She whispered into the wind as the ship vanished from sight.

She pulled the window shut and was sure not to latch them so Peter and the boys could always feel welcome. Crawling into bed and laying her caramel curls upon her satin pillow she closed her eyes with not a thought of what tomorrow may bring.

Now what happened after this has remained a story untold.

"I will always believe in you Peter Pan."

Did the children leave blissful lives?

"I do believe in fairies, I do, I do!"

Was the memory of Peter Pan alone enough to withhold such magical joy?

"Faith, Trust, and pixie dust."

Or was someone only meant to break

"I CAN FLY!"

One year.

Still no reappearance

A second year.

It's like it was only a dream

On the eve of the third

Is hope gone?

Age did not do this family well.

Who was the broken however you might ask?
