Summary:Kyte wants to get through the Forest of Death. The only way may be to use an ancient jutsu that may help, but it may cost his life.
"Alright, roll call." a boy said sitting on a rock.
"Lin." A girl with long black hair said. "And tell me again why we are do this?"
"Cause we WANT to know that we're alive." the boy said.
"Lighten up Kyte, we're gonna get the other scroll and get out." Lin said.
"Mind if I butt in?" a boy with red hair and green eyes asked.
"Go ahead Kee, if you want me I'll be taking a leak." Kyte said.
"Ewww." the two others said.
The truth was, Kyte had no clue what to do. He inherited his father's sense of doing things when they came to mind. 'father,' the word father still stained his mind. He remembered when Iruka-Sensei asked to bring in their parents to meet with them. Kyte went home to tell his father, only to find the usual. Him sprawled on the floor passed out from the sake. He went in the next day.
(( "Kyte!" Iruka-Sensei ran over to Kyte. "Where's your father?"
"My father?" Kyte didn't want to talk about his drunken father. "He had to work, couldn't get off of it."
"That's to bad." Iruka-Sensei said.))
'iruka-sensei,' Kyte always loved him. Kyte knew that he knew that his father wasn't the best. But he was glad Iruka-Sensei kept it a secret. I guess he knew what it was like to loose their parents. Kyte's mom dyed when Iruka-Sensei's did. It wasn't as bad as Sensei but it was close. He remembered what had happened the day before Kyte went into the forest,
(("Iruka-Sensei!" Kyte ran over to the teacher as he closed the doors to the ninja school.
"Ah, Kyte, what are you up to?" the teacher said ruffling his hair.
"Sensei!" Kyte said pushing his hand off, "I need to talk to you."
"About what?"
"What am I supose to do?"))
Kyte was ready, he spent months training for these tests. He improved some of his jutsus and learned new ones. "I'm ready!"
"Kyte?" Lin said walking out from behind the bushes.
"Hey, where's Kee?"
"Actually taking a leak." Lin said with a smirk.
"Sorry," Kyte said smiling.
"No, I should be sorry." Lin said sitting next to Kyte. "I know you were just trying to keep us safe.
"Don't worry," Kyte said, "we can handle ourselves." Kyte said standing up holding out his hand to Lin.
"One problem genius."
"What's that?" Reyu asked.
"Kee." Lin said with her usual smirk.
"AHHHH!" As if on cue Kee screamed from the other side of the trees.
"LET'S GO!" Lin said pulling Kyte.
"RIGHT!" Kyte said as they ran off.
