Why don't you know I'm here?
Waiting for you to see
The person who cares for you
The person inside of me
I wait here everyday
Just to see your smiling face
Every time you say you're busy
But that just isn't the case
I watch you walk away
Your blue eyes growing sad
You don't have to lie to me
I know you miss your dad
That's why I want you to know
That I'm here waiting for you
You need someone to hold on too
Maybe I should give you a clue
She's your best friend forever
She's always been by your side
She almost knows everything about you
No, this isn't a lie
So if you need a shoulder to cry on
Or just someone to hold you tight
