AN: SPOILERSFORKNOCKDOWN
Richard Castle had been dating the women of his dreams for just a few weeks but it felt like forever. He was in love with her as he always had been but now he was getting his shot.
They saw the guard there and she told him, "I'm open to dumb ideas here."
"I just might have one." he told her
Next thing he knew they were stumbling around outside with her leaning against him just like they had a few nights before on their date night.
"This isn't working." She whispered to him as she reached for her weapon. He removed her hand from the gun and took her face into his hands and kissed her for the first time. The sparks flew between them, for the few minutes they were connected. They broke for a minute and she looked at him with wonder but then seeing that the man trying to kill them was nearing, she thought quickly and started kissing her boyfriend again, not to say she didn't enjoy this, started to move them so that she could easily stop him. After he was on the ground she heard Castle say, "Wow."
"What?" She asked turning around, knowing he was talking about the kiss they had just shared, because she had felt the same way, but couldn't stop her natural reaction.
"The way you took him down." He quickly recovered, thinking if he was truthful he may end up on the ground.
She stared at him for a few moments, knowing he was lying but then started to make her way into the building to save Ryan and Esposito.
Still shell shocked, he touched his lips to make sure they were still there. He had never felt a kiss like that, even with his ex-wives. When he came to his senses, and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, he ran in after her.
She got in there and saw the monsters torturing Ryan and she quickly shot the man getting ready to shatter his kneecap. As the other two run away she is able to get one of them but has to reload before she can get the third.
He sees him aiming his sniper rifle as her head. He's going to kill her. Castle jumps at him, just before he pulls the trigger, and gets him in the head a few times with his fist.
IntheAmbulance
"Hey there Chuck Norris, how's the hand?"
"Excruciating, 100% worth it but excruciating. How's Ryan and Esposito?"
"Mild hypothermia, wounded pride, guess which one will heal first?"
Castle laughed
"Thank you...for having my back in there."
"Always, I couldn't live without you."
"I love you Richard Castle."
"I love you too Kate Beckett."
They kissed and then went off to show Martha and Alexis that Castle was fine.
