Lacy here with another tag for ya. This one is for A Shade of Gray. Now, I noticed and Katie agreed that Emily looks a little too shaken by what Danny did to his brother. And we all know my mind. I had to write a story for why. Not gonna give it away so have fun!

Disclaimer: I own...yeah, nothing.

He watched her with a frown of concern as she told the parents what their oldest had done to his brother. Her voice kept shaking, cracking. It wasn't like her. She had a gift for empathy, yes but this was something else. This case had deeply effected her, as it had effected them all but there was something else, something she was trying to hide that was causing this extra push of emotion.

As he watched her stop for the third time to collect herself, he decided he'd question her when they got back to DC. No need to have the others thinking he doubted her.

Emily sighed as she settled into her seat on the plane. She could feel Aaron's eyes on her from where he sat and knew he could tell something was wrong. It would have been foolish of her to think she could keep it from him forever. Well, forever was a bit of a stretch. She was planning on telling him, she just didn't know how. With another sigh, she tipped her head back. Looks like she'd have to figure out the how a lot sooner then she'd planned.

Both were silent as they entered their condo. Aaron had officially moved in almost four months before. The ride from the office had been quiet, both gathering their thoughts for the talk they knew was coming.

"Are you okay?" Aaron finally asked after they'd changed and settled on the bed.

Emily nodded her head against Aaron's chest. "Yeah, I'm alright. The case was hard but child cases always are."

"There was something else." Aaron said as he ran his fingers through Emily's hair. "I could see it."

Emily exhaled slowly. "You're right, there was something else."

Aaron looked down at her. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong." Emily said. "At least I don't think anything's wrong. You might think different but-"

"Emily,"

Emily shut her eyes. "I'm pregnant."

Aaron felt his breath catch as he sat himself and Emily up. "You're,"

Emily nodded. "Pregnant. I know you probably never planned on having kids again after Jack and I'm sor-"

Any further words were cut off as Aaron silenced Emily with a kiss.

"How long?" Aaron asked after he pulled back.

Emily paused. "About six weeks. I've known for almost two. I just," she shook her head. "I didn't know how to tell you."

Aaron stroked Emily's hair back. "Never think that giving me another child is something you have to apologize for. I'm happy, very happy."

Emily smiled. "Good, me too."
