AN: this is the ending that my friends and I came up with.

Toby walked out of the bake house after killing the devil that had killed the only woman to ever be kind to him. He exited the pie shop, fully intending to leave and never come back, when he saw a shadow moving up in the devil's shop. Brandishing the razor he hadn't bothered to get rid of, he silently made his way up the stairs.
Johanna had been scared out of her wits for quite some time after that lunatic had nearly killed her. Finally coming to her senses, she paced the length of the room, waiting for her… what exactly was he? Savior? Fiancé? While she paced, the door creaked open to reveal a boy of about twelve who was grasping a bloody razor. The same razor the lunatic man had nearly murdered her with. She backed away, turning her head, frantically looking for a way out. The boy motioned for her to go out the door; she complied out of a wish to live. They walked down the stairs and into the street.
They had reached the middle of the street when a carriage came barreling along- straight towards them! The driver attempted to stop the horses, pulling, and then yanking on their reigns, but they didn't stop in time. Johanna and Toby's ribs had been snapped by the horse's hooves, and then the wheels of the carriage jammed the rib fragments into their lungs and hearts as they ran the duo over.
The horses stopped just in time (too late for Johanna and Toby, mind you) for the carriage to hit the bodies and swerve into the nearest building. The carriage's occupant cracked his skull open on impact and the driver was speared with a shard of the window they had just smashed through.
Having been the carriage's occupant, Anthony bleed to death inside the carriage he was going to use to bring Johanna and himself to a better life.
A beautiful sunrise met a cloudless London a few minutes later.
