E/O Challenge: Nip
Nip: -vb: To check or destroy the growth of; to put a stop to something small before it can grow into something big
Spoilers: This takes place between episodes 6.13: Unforgiven and 6.14: Mannequin 3: The Reckoning, because I'm rewatching my season six box set and that's where I was when I received this week's word.
A/N #1: This is my very first drabble. I'm a wordy writer, so this was definitely a challenge for me to try to come up with something complete in only 100 words. Thank you Enkidu07 and Onyx Moonbeam for letting me play.
A/N #2: Special thanks to Kailene for proofing this; and for everything else she does.
Summary: Under the right circumstances and with the right motivation, the biggest decisions can be made in only two or three minutes.
-SPN-
Two or Three Minutes
Sam is stubborn. Once he gets an idea in his head, no amount of bribing, bullying, or begging is going to pry it loose. That stubbornness has served him in the past, but it's going to be the death of him, now. One crack, one chip in the mortar holding that Wall together, and it's going to come crashing down.
Dean won't have it.
He has his brother back and he's not losing him.
Sam is stubborn, but Dean is desperate to nip this in the bud. And, as soon as Sam wakes the hell up, Dean's telling him so.
